The Trichologist must determine if he or she can treat the condition; if not, he or she will make a referral to a dermatologist.
First our examination and hair analysis will help determine the stage of hair loss. This is done by looking under a microscope at the hair or hair bulb. We look for breakage or diffuse hair loss and whether it is chemical or mechanical (the way the hair is cared for) damage to the hair.
